Description
This fixed halyard snap shackle is made from 17.4 Ph stainless steel, a material that gives it high resistance to both traction and oxidation. The latter feature means it will last for a long time, despite being exposed to particles of seawater. In the event of breakage, the forging allows it to deform before breaking. During assembly, the plunger is crimped into the body of the carabiner, making it captive and always ready for use. Its 50 mm length supports a considerable load of 960 kg, with the breaking point only reached at 2,000 kg. It's easy to open and offers the option of adding a toggle for faster sail release.
This carabiner is ideal for halyard attachment and applications that don't require the carabiner to rotate.
