New universal monitoring and alarming solution for boats, capable of monitoring any parameter on the boat's NMEA 2000 network (engine or generator data such as temperature or pressure, navigation data such as depth, position, AIS, speed, wind, etc.). Or even the status of simple connected devices, such as pumps and switches. Custom alarms can be set and NavAlert will sound and visual alarms and record data and alerts. Alerts are also relayed over the NMEA 2000 network and displayed as a window on compatible multifunction displays such as those from Garmin. There is also a dedicated MOB (man overboard) function where a simple switch can activate a synthetic AIS MOB message over the network allowing connected devices and plotters to receive the man overboard alarm.
Integrated with NavAlert is a mooring alarm that uses an algorithm to calculate the optimum drift radius based on depth and chain extent. There is also an anti-collision alarm based on CPA (closest point of approach) and TCPA (time to closest point of approach) data from a connected AIS. These mooring and anti-collision alarms can also be monitored via NavAlert's interface with attractive graphical displays.
Alarms can also generate an SMS message which can be relayed via Digital Yacht's 4GXtream internet solution, allowing remote monitoring - ideal for ensuring the boat is moored when having lunch ashore.

NavAlert is universal, using the standard NMEA 2000 data protocol and will therefore integrate with all major brands and systems.
