Description
This lamination kit from Soromap contains 250 g of polyester resin, 5 g of PMEC catalyst and a piece of glass mat fabric measuring 1.10 m x 8 cm.
This is a ready-to-use kit for carrying out minor boat hull repairs on polyester.
As regards its physical properties, at 20°C, the mixture obtained is reddish in colour and transparent. It is ready after 4 to 7 minutes. To prepare it, use 98% polyester resin (filler) and 2% PMEC (hardener). It is important not to use more than 3% hardener or less than 1.5%.
The surface being treated must be sanded, dry and clean, free of grease, oil and dust. Application should ideally be made in ambient air between 15°C and 20°C, never below 5°C.
For good conservation, store the components of the lamination kit away from heat and too low temperatures.
