At the centre of every Evolution system is the EV central sensor, a 9-axis sensor that monitors the vessel's movements in all three dimensions. The EV central sensor is a major innovation that combines state-of-the-art solid-state sensors and the Evolution autopilot processor in a single package. The installation of the rudder angle sensor is not essential to the operation of the autopilot, but allows the rudder angle to be displayed on the control console. Evolution pilots can be controlled from Axiom multifunction displays. Install the EV central sensor on or below deck, the robust housing is totally sealed and complies with IPX6 and IPX7 waterproofing and submersion standards.
