Description
The Ecopilot socket was designed to meet the need to save electrical energy on board sailing boats, an energy that is often very limited yet essential to the operation of an autopilot system. It intervenes at the level of the solenoid valve that engages the hydraulic pilot, a solenoid valve that accounts for a significant proportion of the pilot's overall consumption. Its action consists of briefly allowing the current required to engage the solenoid valve to pass through. The current is then significantly reduced, but is still sufficient to maintain it. Thanks to this system, on average, the solenoid valve's consumption drops from 30Ah per day to 5Ah. 12 V power supply, 0.01 A internal consumption, 2.2 A max inrush output current, 0.2 s switchover delay, IP65 waterproofing, LED power indicator.
